Volunteer Opportunities

Want to volunteer for a one-woman gardening business?  I’d love to work with you.

Debby Ward, Professional Organic Garden speaker, coach, trainer, designer.

As a one-woman-business since 2009, it takes allot to keep things moving.

Over the years, wonderful community members have volunteered their time to support me as I support others to grow organically.

I volunteered with Debby and it was fun because she is such a wealth of knowledge, so our meetings would be part what do we need to get done, part gardening talk. – Denise

Now that I am retired, I have time to help Debby out. She is such a deserving, caring and supportive person to so many gardeners, and to me, that I wanted to support her to do what she does. – Margret

It feels good to take just a little time each week to help such a amazing person to do all the great things she does. – Lisa

All volunteer opportunities are part-time and are currently all virtual, so anyone can assist with a computer, a bit of time and a community spirit.

What you as a volunteer can do to help:

  • Research potential speaking gigs for me.
  • Check links on old blog posts.
  • Regularly Comment and Like on two business Facebook pages.
  • Regularly Like and Pin my pins on Pinterest.
  • Spread the word and advocate my offerings (speaking, courses, coaching, design) to your networks.

Your Time

I respectfully request that you commit to at least six months at least 2 hours a week. This allow us time to work together to help more people, and for you to get gardening support.

What you get in return:

  • Free approximately 30 minute garden coaching from me every month, or one or more of my online courses. We can talk about what would most support you.
  • For any volunteer who are in Northern Virginia, we have occasionally in-person lunch gatherings.
